Hunting the Javan Rusa Deer in Paradise

Mauritius is a relatively new country by the worlds standards as its roots are basically the British, French and Dutch fighting over whose it is for many years. When you roam around the country/island which doesn’t take too long minus the mountains you need to go up and over or around. The country is only 40 miles, by 40 miles big.

The Great White Continent, Antarctica - Our Last Continent, Don & Mary Harter

We had booked a cruise to Antarctica several years ago because we had seen every other continent while hunting but never been on this one. And probably because no hunting is available. Though I had tried to set up hunts with our friend and outfitter Rick Dickson, there was always an obstacle that would prevent it from happening.

The Quest for the Africa 15 Plus 2

When I first went to Africa in 2009, bow in hand, I had only recently joined SCI and had little plan for what lie ahead. My first animal in Africa did not even count towards any slam or inner circle but the Texas heart shot from my bow while he drank at a water hole on a big baboon will always be a memory and one could say the beginning of the quest.
